Leaving

Saying goodbye is one thing he didn’t understand
A feeling he may not comprehend
With his clear green eyes
He just stared , without a blink
I nodded at him
Left in his sight, a sweet smile
He blinked
It’s like saying, he’d carry it with him
To wherever he’d be taken
The moving truck next door
Blinded my sight of his figure
A long purr echoed in the air
“I’ll miss you, little gray buddy,” I whispered
We finally said goodbye to each other
